All wood contains moisture—but the lower the moisture content, the better the burn. Burning logs with high moisture content has two major drawbacks:
1. Increased Pollution: Wet logs release more smoke and harmful particles into the atmosphere, contributing to air pollution.
2. Inefficient Burning: Moisture prevents the log from burning properly, meaning you'll need more logs or additional fuels like coal to achieve the same heat.
This not only increases your costs over time, but also adds to your carbon footprint.
That’s why we only supply kiln-dried logs with under 20% moisture content—for a cleaner, more efficient, and environmentally responsible burn. When you use our wood, you're getting a far longer, safer fire than you would with damp wood.
